Tips to Survive the Wintertime ☃❄️

Hello lovely readers! As a south american girl I’ve been struggling with the European winter weather recently. So for those of you who are hot-blooded like me, here are some tips for surviving (and slaying) winter 2017!

  • Stay warm from within ☕️

It’s super important to fuel your body with nutrients during this cold weather. Oatmeal, coffee and hot cups of teas are the best choices to get energy and nutrients naturally. Plus they are delicious.

  • Save your skin 💁🏼

Besides of the good ol’ facial and body lotions, I also swear by more natural (and cheaper) options such as essential oils (often found in supermarkets) and by mixing: honey + brown sugar for the lips. And honey + olive oil for skin moisturizer. Easy, breezy, beautiful. Thrifty Girl. 💰💸

  • Sweat it Out! 💦

As a runner I’d say that during winter time it’s important to take advantage of daylight but (still) don’t forget to wear sunscreen. Also, whatever workout you do, please don’t put on heavy coats for your body will heat up a lot more even though it’s freezing outside. Keep it light my friends :).

  • Stores of the Month 👗

Ok so in Portugal they have two major stores for workout gear: Sportzone and Decathlon. Decathlon is way cheaper. Sportzone has prettier stuff though (and famous brands) but Decathlon has great clothes for EVERY sport and as I said, it is waaay cheaper.

As for casual clothing I stick to Lefties (great deals and prices) and sometimes H&M. Oh and for pijamas and shoes I go to Primark. Idk why but it’s super cheap right now so that’s great!
